Eagles Canyon Majors Race Report
RaceDog Dateline: Eagles Canyon Majors a success! After subfreezing temps for a week the weather gods shined on Eagles Canyon with glorious sunshine this past weekend. Texas Region SCCA Road Racing featured a separate run group for the Formula F cars thanks to the Race officials support for the efforts of our Formula F USA group.
The field featured two former drivers joining the efforts to grow the class. Special thanks to Mike Sauce (beautiful Sauce SVM1) and Tom Dalrymple (Kent powered Swift DB1). The field was rounded out by perennial fast guy Matt Boian (4 wins this season!) J.D. Conder in his sweet Swift DB1 Honda, Colorado Region SCCA driver Andrew MacDougall (Podium Sunday in RaceDog Van Diemen Honda) and Jay Messenger (RaceDog Van Diemen Honda).
We all spent a lot of time talking to newcomers about the class. We had one former FF driver wandering the paddock and one future FF driver shopping for cars during the weekend. The group effort was recognized by the race officials and other competitors with a ton of positive vibes all around!
