    Default Rubber mark removal

What do you use to get the rubber marks off your side pods and such? My car gets peppered with marble marks. Someone mentioned acrysol but that seems pretty aggressive. Suggestions?

Car polish or WD40 will usually do it.

    Default Rubber Remover

Mothers R3 Racing Rubber Remover is what we use on the GT3 cars that run a lot longer with more rubber upchucked. Really bad we use VP Racing TAR remover but does leave streaks that need more cleaning.

I keep a spray bottle of Simple Green in my 'track consumables' box. That does pretty well between sessions at removing the black splotches created on cars paint from tire rubber. I spray that on the car and then into some kind of rag, like an old sock and rub car with it. WD40 is a good one also.

The leading edge of the side pods on FE2 get 'sand blasted' pretty good. To combat this, I put a layer of Clear Bra on the leading edge and extend it back about 12". This has helped quite a bit on my side pods. You may consider some Clear Bra if you are getting some sand blasting in that area.

Acetone works really well. I put it on a rag and wipe away.

General purpose adhesive remover. 3M makes some, but any brand will work. Also takes off any residue from inspection/run group/sponsor/etc. stickers.

agreed, like magic on rubber, just don’t rub too hard, there’s a mild abrasive in some of those towels
