Default Interested in FC, looking for direction

Hello, I’m looking to get started in FC / F2000 but am lacking resources. I’m familiar with SCCA and the general format of club racing, I was crew to a Spec Racer Renault team before they migrated to Ford. I’m aware of general licensing and safety requirements, I’m mainly looking for class regulations / technical papers and trying to determine the best field to pursue based on participation and season expenses. I’m in Cleveland OH and am most familiar with Mid Ohio and Nelson Ledges, but have visited several tracks in the Great Lakes region. I am looking to acquire a car in 2025 and start to compete in 2026.

I have been browsing this forum and collecting information, but regional vs national and club vs pro can make it difficult to understand what might apply to me. If you have any links or helpful suggestions, I appreciate any advice given.

    Thank you,
    Matt

Hi. Contact Alliance Autosport in Columbus; they'll start you out in an FE2, you might want to stay with that given participation numbers lately.

However, there's a fresh listing for Hartley's VD FC today as well.

It would be well worth your while to take a trip to Sterling Heights to visit with Keith Averill (kea on this forum) to discuss your needs. He runs the Great Lake Series and is highly familiar with all things formula, but with an emphasis on FF and FC. Best wishes on your journey! Kip
