1980 Van Diemen RF80 Club Ford

Unfortunately I am having to sell my Van Diemen RF80 for health reasons. I did a frame up rebuild on the car after I bought it in 2016 which included a new floor, new bodywork and some new suspension parts. Since finishing the rebuild in 2020 the car has had very few races on it due to my health.
The engine was originally an Ivey Engine that has been freshly rebuilt by Alan McColl at MCE Motors. It only has 3 ½ hours running time on it. The motor includes a Scat cast steel crankshaft, CP pistons .005” over, lightened flywheel and 7 ¼ inch Tilton racing clutch, billet aluminum rocker shaft stands, new Ivey valves and valve springs. Brand new water pump from Ivey Engines, a one race old Pertronix Distributor, HyTech stainless exhaust headers and a Tilton gear reduction starter.

I've seen this car on many occasions out at Mission and I can vouch that it is not just beautiful to look at...

...it is IMMACULATELY prepared.

I know every race car is sold as "just add gas and go race"...but this one really is.

I will be very sorry not to see it at Mission again, so would someone local who's been on the fence please buy it!

Hi Felim, sorry to hear that you have to sell. I have been looking in England for RF-80s and this is a great car compared with what I've seen over there, and fairly priced. I might be in a position to buy later this summer. but don't wait for me. Good Luck!

That is a great looking car, beautifully prepared, practically brand new with all the best parts and pieces and should be a competitive CF anywhere. Not saying it doesn't deserve $32K but curious to see what the market says...
