The car has just been completely restored to as near to "as new condition" as possible. I bought this car from Bobby Brown several years ago and only raced it once before making the decision to embark on a complete restoration and improvement.
Bobby had a Cosworth BDSS (short stroke 1600) that had inherent power issues that neither he nor I could resolve. I made the decision to remove the BDSS and sourced a BDG 2.0 that was sent to Jay Ivey for a bottom up rebuild. Dyno shows 275hp with 187 ft. lbs of torque.
A new transmission was sourced from SMT in the UK. It's a 68/10 5 speed H pattern with the magnesium case, 3 sets of gears, and LSD.
Ohlins shocks were rebuilt and dynoed at PSI at Sonoma.
Body was faired and repainted in McLaren P1 Volcano Red. A complete new 2nd set of carbon body work from Motorsports Composites including side pods, tunnels and engine cover are included. Also has spare wings and noses, multiple wheel sets with tires, and new spare suspension arms built by FMC (previously Pat Prince's shop).
Assembly was completed by Garry Orton of Kiwi Motorsports in Cresson, Texas. The car has not been driven since restoration, so a full set-up and sorting will need to be done. I have over $100K invested. Asking $75,000 for everything.
If you would like to view the car it will be shown in Garage #6. at COTA in Austin for the SVRA National this coming weekend. Gary Orton will also be there with his team to answer questions about the build. Those who have seen or purchased my other cars for sale can vouch for the quality of the builds I sponsor and the care the cars receive.
