Default Distributor rebuild & Pertronix kit

My Kent FoMoCo type 12100 distributor is in need of a rebuild .... need a recommendation on who can do this.

Also, I'm told the Pertronix type 1241LS is the kit for this distributor. Can someone confirm? Yes, I contacted Pertronix, but the guy I dealt with was no help.

You'd be better off to replace that distributer with something a bit more modern that parts are available for. Lucas 43D and the variants of it on the market come to mind.

Can confirm Pertronix PN 1241LS is correct for that distributor,
Had good luck with mine (so far) understand QC is not what it used to be at Pertronix ?? , Also use that distributor with points/cond which are still available. Standard points are good to over 7K

if you really want to stick with that distributor as Dana mentioned I would stick with points and condenser and not deal with the inevitable pertronix failures.

Along those lines, do those of you using Pertronix w/Bosch distributors, replace the Pertronix units at some regular interval, so as to avoid the "inevitable failure?
