Very unique and rare, Chassis #1
The original owner/driver was Jon VanDecar, Autodynamcs/Caldwell factory driver, who helped in the design and build of this car. He drove it at the runoffs several times in the early 1980s. This is one of the best FV designs because it has improved aero over the D-13 and has the vintage legal but modern capable dual coil over zero-roll rear suspension and modern “above the knees” steering box location for improved bump steer. The chassis and body were retrieved from Jon’s shop by Keith Lawrence and completely restored with all new parts in 2022 by Keith Lawrence. Everything is new or like new. It was last raced at the 2023 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix where it placed 2nd in the FV class. The car has a recently refreshed engine with very good “high regional” intake and carb, newly refreshed transmission by Arnie Carbaugh at Bugs Life Trannys, newer fuel cell, and Alfano digital dash. Includes a log book. Can fit drivers under 5’11”. I purchased the car from Keith Lawrence this past spring. The car fires right up and it is ready to race with the exception of needing seat belts. $14,750 obo
