    Default 1978 Lola T440, frame-up rebuild by JDC Motorsports

    1978 Lola T440
    -One owner. Purchased new in 1983 from Carl Haas Auto.
    -SCCA Log Book 78-112
    -11 Total Races
    -1 race since full frame-up rebuild and modification to comply with Club FF rules and make it safer. March bars and front rollover hoop installed during rebuild in 2011.
    -1 race on fully rebuilt and updated engine done by Steve Knapp at Elite engines.
    -Two sets of wheels.

    I once owned a SCCA legal “semi-monocoque” T-440, with gobs of tricks to stiffen the chassis.

    But THIS is the most splendid example of a drop dead gorgeous race car, no BS.

    Did you do the chassis mods? I briefly owned/restored T440 #101 that has the identical chassis mods. It is also painted yellow and nicknamed the "Flying Banana", now owned by a friend of mine in Charlotte, NC

    The chassis mods were done by JDC Motorsports in Minneapolis. Always like to hear of more yellow race cars out there!
