Default FC, FM, F70, FA - Is it time to go Vintage?

The answer is YES. How many cars fit the following group:
    Pinto engine FCs through 1997
    1st Gen FMs
Under 2 liter, flat bottom FA, FSV, FB

There have to be hundreds of cars that fit those categories and many with few option to go racing. VDCA (vintagedrive.com) now has a group for all of those cars. VDCA racers will tell you that we (I am on the board of directors) give them the most track time for their racing dollar along with some good food and drink. Come to an event and check us out.

    Upcoming VDCA events:
September 13-15 at Roebling Road (Friday is a test day)
November 8-10 at Road Atlanta (Friday test day)
    December 13-15 at Roebling

Don't forget the Ralt, Anson, Shannon FSVs. Yeah, they're ground effect, but they've been in vintage so long that they have almost no engine builders left and engine parts are getting hard to find.

I haven't seen a flat bottom FSV other than some of the mid 70s Marches and a couple of air cooled cars (including one of mine) since 2004.

I'd also wonder what happened to these cars, although I doubt there were a lot of them in the first place, Vara had a couple of flat-bottom Lolas running with us way back then, and there's still a couple of Lola and Royale FSVs running in RMVR

I'm working on my '94 FC Pinto (long rod) presently. See you soon on a Vintage grid.

I helped with a Street Survival Car Control Clinic for 16 year old newbies at the American Muscle Car Museum this past weekend so I did not make the Roebling event. I had not heard of this Museum before - it is not open to the Public. I could be wrong on this....but I think the owner has Ford GT40s from every year and in every color. I did not get a tour but I could see through the front windows...there were 14 of 'em in just the Lobby.

FC is ready for SCCA Regional at Daytona Sept. 21 & 22. Conflict for your December weekend - my Son's birthday. Looking forward to your 2025 VDCA schedule.
