    yeah, been following it.
curious, it's not "no reserve", yet getting very little attention and few bids.
Earley had his hands on it prior, so its gotta have good bones.
    guess we'll see...

I'm pretty addicted to BaT and as you probably know, real race cars get no or very little love there. I think most open wheel cars are RNM. Now if it was a Porsche, it'd fetch double it's real value!

I scanned thru Apexspeed earlier, but didn't see it; was this Merlyn ever for sale on Apexspeed? Seems a more likely place to get true value.

Car fetched $20K. So, not a bad result.

I thought maybe he overpaid at 20k?
Especially as the winner jumped $5000 (not 500) on his final winning bid, he might have won it for thousands less....

I'm guessing that the winner had a special reason to make sure they got it, like they drove it way back when, or something like that.

The winner was bidding in oversized amounts even before his last bid. Perhaps he wanted to put down a preemptive bid, and close out the auction. Clearly, he wanted the car.

Judging by how many cars the winner has bought off of BAT lately, I'm guessing he/she just fell into a massive pile of money.

Google the buyer's name. He appears to be a multimillionaire businessman with a large, eclectic car collection.
