    Gents:

I am in need of 1" x 4" strips of 304 SS shim stock in 0.010", 0.012" and 0.015" thicknesses.

    Any help?

There are plenty of SS shim stock variations available at McMaster… you’ll need to see if you can find dimensions and grade you can work with.

    Brandon:

The first place I checked, but the individual sheets are $54.00. I only need fractions of what they offer.

    Thx Bud.

Rick, Paul and I were chatting about this in the shop today, and only partially in jest, I suggested you buy a couple of feeler gauge sets and use the appropriate pieces to wrap around the bearings ....

Ian, will you please show this to Paul in hopes it might suffice?

    Default shims

I've used the Shim Shack for custom cut shims in various thicknesses a few times this year. They have come through for me in every case. They have made me a bunch of NLA gearbox shims from cad drawings. Not cheap, but highly recommended.
