I thought there might be a source from someone who has install an aluminum Diff.

Might have an old style Mk9 unit - can look later. I sent 5 or 6 down under last year but think I missed one in the storage container.
I have so much older Ft and Mk8/9 stuff but hard to list sensibly

I have a pair of NOS flat side gears, plus some used spiders. I will have to verify that the spiders are good. Would like $175 USD shipped to you for the four gears (assuming the spiders are decent) and can include the cross shaft also, if it checks out OK. PM if you are interested and I'll get pics to you
