Default 7PM move in at Cat Majors??

Is that normal? Really makes it a pain with a long trip there and needing to get tires done upon arrival for the test day, not to mention the simple registration and parking/set up. We bitch about a 5pm move in at our home track that is close by, guess this tops that by a bit. Looking forward to it but the move in day will not be fun.

There is private testing for IMSA teams going Thursday until 5PM. Need to give those teams time to vacate the paddock afterwards.

To make it worse, at June Sprints they would not let trailers into paddock after 8, even if you were registered and had paddock vehicle pass. But, I am not sure if trailer escort is required with less entrants than sprints.

The Cat is open parking, so there's no escort required. The Sprints this year was the first time I haven't been allowed into RA later in the day. Cat should be no problem parking and showing up later. Sunset isn't until 8:30 here this time of year.

    Default fun move in, not

Well that was interesting, I saw more aggressive driving when they finally let us in than I did all weekend on track. What could have been a simple take your turn and be sensible turned into a massive goatfoook with more risky moves than needed. There is so much room available that it seemed a bit unnecessary. In the end we got in, had to unload and get to Hoosier to get our tires sorted for the test day. We got lucky with an updated test day schedule that afforded us some time Friday morning to finish up with Hoosier. A big thank you to Hoosier, Fred and his team who were expecting us and as promised, had us all set with time to spare. Great weekend and lots of faces I had not seen in a while, nice catching up with old friends. Looking forward to the Run Offs and hopefully a bit nicer move in procedure. What a great facility. A solid FF group with quality drivers, Oct 4 will be exciting!!
