Default Reputable Arrive and Drive Recommendations for CenDiv SCCA

    Hi all,
It's been several years since I've been to a club race, but wanted to see if there were any recommendations for reputable arrive and drive shops who are in the Midwest that I can recommend to my students to as they aquire their comp license. For SCCA racing, the biggest outfits that I remember were One Formula (Now Competition One, but not sure if Steve's still doing his thing), Elite, and Alliance for entry level open wheel or spec racer arrive and drive for divisional and national (Majors) racing. I had recommended Elite Autosport since he was interested in going SR3 racing, but my student isn't getting a response from them. I'm open to others that have a good track record (sorry for the dad joke).

Dustin Hodges at Arrive Drive Motorsports in based in Indy, and has F1600 / F2000 / F1000 cars for rent. Even a Porsche for WRL events. He & Jerry are very good with getting newer people comfortable in the cars & they are a blast to work with.
He does run Majors as needed, but also does FRP & SVRA weekends.

Alliance is by far the best for service and fun. I remember Calvin Kautz first racing with them.

Another vote for Alliance, though I think they all do a good job. The real answer is picking a team close to the tracks you want to run most to limit transport costs.

If 'your guy' is focused on SR3 racing, perhaps he should be checking the RADICAL forums? Seems to be LOTS of them around, but personally I have no knowledge of them other than they have a big following at AMP near Atlanta.
