    Default AIM MXL GPS options

Just trying my luck. I have acquired a car with an older AIM MXL. Its doesnt have the GPS and my other cars have the EVO4 and 4S.

I was hoping to use my Smartycam HD 2.2GP.

Question are there any aftermarket options for a GPS as I gather I'm not going to find an old GPS 05 or GPS 08 anywhere?

    Thanks

I've always wondered if someone could write some software that would use the beacon input for GPS with an external GPS sensor. A lot of us with older systems would sure benefit, although I'm sure it would cost AIM new sales.

I agree.. it SEEMS that with the right GPS module, it would be 'SIMPLE'.. right?? . I need one of those for my older car that has an AIM XGLog.. I really HATED that beam trigger that got left at the track more times than I like to admit.
Sounds like a job for ROMOMAN to me...

If you run out of options, I'll trade you my 08 for a 09.

With that setup, you need a GPS05 or a GPS08. The current GPS09 will not work with the Pista. 99sh made a nice offer and I would help out with the price on a GPS09 for them if you need to go that route.

CDS used to make a GPS device that would work as a beacon, but I haven't seen or heard of one of them in a long time.

I have a few CDS GPS beacons kicking around. If you want one I can see what I have and figure out if I want to let one go. I'm have a fortune in CDS stuff thats going to be orphaned when/if I convert to aim. PM me here on apexspeed and we can see if a deal can be made.
