Help identifying this car.
I picked up this little gem a few weeks ago, got it running, and starting to take it apart to completely rebuild it. Only issue is we have NO CLUE what chassis or anything else about the car as the previous owner had no paperwork no logs, and no knowledge of its whereabouts at all. It is powered by a KZ1000, and appears to be well built. ANY information would be greatly appreciated
some characteristics made me think the front frame may be reworked Hayashi Formula Mazda....
What is it
It appears to be a home built SCCA DSR. The first place to start would be to search for identifying marks stamped into the base of the main roll hoop. This might point you to the original region of record and give a log book number that might help you identify the original owner/builder.
