    Default Vee Heads?

I friend of mine acquired a couple of sets of "race car " heads. They look like Vee heads to me but only had stock 1600 springs which is suspicious. They are stamped with the name GUS SHELL between the cylinder openings.

Anyone heard of Gus Shell he would have been out of the Cincinnati area.

A google search yielded this ... mentions he was a Vee enthusiast.

Vernon Shell Obituary (2011) - Charlotte, NC - Charlotte Observer (legacy.com)

Excerpt: "Among other endeavors, he built testing equipment for Rexham Industries and developed Formula V racing engines for Zinc Racing."
