GSXR 600 year compatibility

I am running 2006-07 GSXR 600 engines currently and I am wondering what the compatibility to newer engines would be. The 06-07 engines seem to be getting harder to find so if i could move to 08-09 or newer without much work that would be good to know.

I believe the oil pans and headers should swap fine.
The ECUs look the same so maybe i could just swap out the right year's ecu? i havent looked at a wiring diagram to see if the pinouts are different.
Anything else with the electrical system that wouldnt be interchangeable?
Are the mounting points/physical dimensions the same? just looking at pictures they look almost the exact same.

There are 3 motor generations commonly used in our class

06/07 Silver cylinder head, airbox mounts to throttle bodies with hose clamps

08/09 Black cylinder head, airbox bolts into throttle bodies, different Cam shafts from prev generation

2011-2015 Black cylinder head, updates to throttle bodies from 08/09, same airbox mounting, updated spark plug coils

-The engine mounting points are exactly the same from 2006 thru 2015
-The same oil pan and headers will work for all those years
-The throttle bodies are a different design after 06/07 generation
-The ECU's look the same but have different mapping thru the years
-The wiring harness is slightly different for each generation, but may still work

The wiring harness,ecu,throttle bodies and air box will be different. The best thing to do is to buy a "car kit" off of ebay like the in this link. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-11-19-...0AAOSwjyhe5F5P
Don't buy one with less than 3000 miles on it. If you do you'll likely blow it up due to the bearings being a bit on the tight side.

According to Wikipedia 2011-2020 should be interchangeable.
