Default Going to Road Atlanta March 23-26 ? FRP & SVRA

    Mates,

I am looking at going to Road Atlanta this month for the FRP/SVRA event. Anyone here going? I posted this a few days ago in the general forum, but no replies or comments. Are there only 5 people alive in all these groups here??

I'd like to chat about what to expect, I've never been to Road Atlanta. The track looks awesome and I have practiced the track on iRacing. Guess I'd like to know about the culture there, what's good nearby to do, eat, and drink at, and maybe most important - are there any spots on track that are dangerous to be careful about, like the Kink is at Road America? And finally it would be great to paddock together.

I'm not keen going down there by myself. But if folks from here will be there and I can meet more people in person that would be a plus.

    Thanks!

    Jeff Antonelli

I am a member at VIR and occasionally visit Road Atlanta under our 'exchange' agreement. I'm only about an hour and a half from Road Atlanta, so it's easy for me to go to one of their club days. Every track has its unique qualities and I'd say that Road Atlanta's is the crest right before turn 11 and turn 11 itself. Even after several sessions, that section still makes me pucker up. If you pass through South Carolina on I-85, I'm about 10 minutes off the interstate so feel free to look me up and stop by.

    Jeff,
Your lack of response might be related to the fact that you posted it in the FM forum....and I don't know if there are ANY FM/s at the FRP events. You might have better luck over in the FF or FC forums. Not everyone checks forums other than 'their own'. There is one active thread at

steve, I posted in the forum general events and track info discussion, and then this PFM group.

Thank you for the link discussing Road Atlanta.
