    Default AIM MXL Dash - RPM

    If anyone can tell me how to hook up the RPM to the AIM MXL Pista dash I would appreciate it.

    You would connect the tacho output from your MSD ignition to Pin 8A (small connector) (RPM input) on the Pista harness. I would expect there is an RPM input wire in the harness. Here is the wiring documentation for the MXL Pista;

    The RPM white wire from the AIM unit (labeled RPM) plugged into the output MSD unit made it work. I had no faith in the MSD output connection as the old STACK dash had no RPM reading. I hesitate at just trying stuff as damage is almost sure to occur. Thanks, David for giving me the courage. This most likely won't be my last stupid question.
