He all! New to FM but not to the forum. Have a question on the clutch slave cyl. How much should the throw be to fully disengage? Car is up on jacks.
Thanks Phil.

disengagement is more about the pressure plate needs. I would contact the manufacturer to determine the amount of throw needed. The amount of throw the slave can deliver is a function of the master cylinder diameter and travel as well as the slave cylinder. I’m dealing with similar issues, after contacting tilton, (the manufacturer) I was given all the info regarding travel dimensions which will hopefully enable me to resolve my disengagement issues.
Good luck

One of our standard checks before a car leaves the shop is to check clutch throw with someone in it pushing the clutch while someone pushes the car or turns the rear wheels. Once it disengages we check that the stop allows a margin depending on clutch type so that it does not overthrow. Check the pedal feels good and linear - 5 mins and two people.
We recently had a case on an F2 Ralt where the clutch worked fine but the clutch bolts touched the clutch arm on an FT/FGB if the throw was too much so I would say to check it with the engine running at the end!!!
