Primus F2000 Mini Series Set to Go
Dec 12, 2021- The Primus F2000 Mini Series is all set to shine with addition of Wilwood Brakes as the final sponsor of the trifecta format. We already had long time sponsors Quartermaster and Aero Strait race mirrors for the first two events and with addition of Wilwood Brakes as final event sponsor we are all set to go in January. Primus has been hard at work confirming entries and it appears that we will have a grid reminiscent of the nineties when the Sebring winter national was the benchmark for the year for factory drivers and new young guns that were trying to make their mark in the season ahead. We need every entry possible at Sebring so we can continue the strength that we had at the Runoffs at Indianapolis. So dust off your cars and rebuild them quickly and do your best to make Sebring on Jan 14-16.
Yesterday we added the youngest ever Canadian Formula Ford champion Nick Gilkes. Nick and his very talented sister Megan were fresh off great performances over in UK at the formula ford festival. Apparently Megan can not make the trip because of other obligations but we look forward to seeing this up and coming champ in his first ever time in a winged car. The list of entries is growing each day and I plead that everyone make this event because of its great importance of setting the stage for the rest of the year. Also if things go well at Sebring it will make it much easier to add some northern events in the remainder of the year.
We are also receiving reports that we will have some older chassis on the grid at Sebring. If we can attract enough of these 96 or older chassis we are happy to give some additional prizes to reward their efforts. The news is getting bett er every day on the entry front so we hope everyone will make the trip to Sebring so we can start the year on a good note.
