Up to 23 and counting for F1600 including Masters.

In the last decade, there is far less interest on Apexspeed, and from casual club racers, in following the FRP racing, but the participation of club racers continues. Two 3rds of the F1600/Masters field has a club racing background, including 3 of the 4 drivers connected to my team. Great to see.

it is looking like a very good weekend of racing!

Like Greg mentioned that club racers still don't know about FRP but if you have an open wheel car and want to race affordably with more track time then at SCCA events you should definitely check out FRP. Another plus is all of the workers are SCCA and these events are in my opinion far better run than regular club events. Just keep in mind this a great professionally run series and they expect you to act professional.

Default 27 Cars FRP F1600 PIRC

Perhaps someone can post a better pic, but this is what 27 F1600 cars looks like at PIRC.

But even better than the quantity, the quality was such, that 26 of those were running times within 2 seconds of each other.
And all 27 were still running on Sunday!

Next event is August 1st weekend at Road America. The event schedule looks great!
I know Misha Goikhberg, Bob Perona, and Jeff Bartz, should be back out for that one.
I hope more of you can make it too! Lots of time to get your cars together.

Here is the grid sheet for Race 1.
Look at the time spread from 1st to 26th. In Race 2 that gap was 2 seconds.
For reference, the pole time from the recent Super Tour event was 1.53:085.

The few good drivers and cars that are still out there, should join us.
July 30-Aug 1 FRP Road America
    Aug 20-22 FRP Summit Pt
    Sept 10-12 FRP Autobahn
