I'm guessing you are referring to the car Moses displayed at the runoffs last year. Give him a call.

Aren't these just the old USF cars?
I'm trying to understand the point. I'm thinking F4 before this....
no it is brand new FM

We need this why?
Caldwell D9B - Sold
Crossle' 30/32/45 Mongrel - Sold
RF94 Monoshock - here goes nothin'
There’s just not enough markets, and half-grids keep screaming to deaf ears.
But... I do respect Moses’ efforts over the years, so perhaps — myself included — we should see what transpires before condemning it.

I wonder how this engine/transmission package differs from the FE2.

Well, compared to FM, PFM, and FE, this ones actually attractive.....
To me, the website shots look like a cross between an FE/FE2 and an F4. Given the tube-frame chassis and Elan sticker on one of the pictures, I'd guess it looks FE-like under the skin.
Seems to be the same basic motor, so if cost containment is one of the ideas, it probably makes similar power to an FE2 (around 185-190 hp). Apparently it has the uprated Sadev gearbox (295 ft-lbs, vs 221), and paddle shifting.
Hard for me to conceive that the performance will be much different than an FE2 or an F4, or that the cost will be less. As such, I'm not sure why an up-and-coming karter would choose that route rather than F4 or USF2000, or FE2. But then again, I'm a long way removed from being that age, or from having the funds to support a kid of mine trying to go pro. Guess we'll see.
As requested...
I have twin boys who will be moving up to cars in 2023. Having been around open wheel now for some 30 years, I had been leaning towards running FF1600. Agree, a lot of options out there! But like E1 said, I will keep my eye on what Moses does. Paying $75k for a FF1600 isn't something I want to do.
Looks good but then I just like hardware. And substantial effort by talented people!
Maybe I am totally confused but isn't a "Pro" formula continental the same drivetrain as this car?
