Beauty Hey, but what a handful!
F5000s cars are anyway... but this and others not as the front really have to be.
It'd be interesting to see what it sells for, suspect it's worth maybe $60K (?).
Similar fresh car here from a PNW racer

$100 might be a little high.

I've seen that car on various sites for $80K, touted as the only "long wheelbase" Mk7. I've always loved F5000, I want to move to Australia where they have a new series.
The new Tasman Series is great. A buddy of mine owns two of the last three Lolas ever built, and his friend the third (T430s). Every time I think about their getting 20-30 cars Down There I wanna board a ship or swim on down. Other Aussies I know talk about the Series as a second coming.
All to say F5000 was awesome back in the day, and in some ways even more awesome now!
F5000 is what got me from oval track to road racing. I saw a race in 1975 at Mosport, Mario Andretti and Brian Redman had a nose to tail battle all race. The sound and the performance was awe-inspiring. Warwick Brown in a Talon wasn't far behind the leading Lolas. I have to admit, I rooted for the one AMC powered car, although he was way outclassed. Even the support Formula Ford series was great.
I talked with Brian Redman 20 years later and he could remember every detail of that race. Amazing guy.

I had the privilege to work on the 2nd LeGrand MK7 produced. Literally drove to California and picked it up and brought it back to KC with my driver, Gene Forsthofel. It had plastic brake lines and very poor braking capability until we changed them to Aeroquip.
Lots of long nights working on this car.
I met Mr. Redman at Mosport last year at the VARAC GP, had him sign his book. If folks have NOT read it, i can say it is exceptionally well done in his own words, and the many of the pics are his and not previously widely circulated.
He was a true gentleman to me. Super likable
cheers,
BT
Think I recall the car from back then.
Holy Moly, this car sold for only $36,000?
