Default WTB - Vintage FF or CF for larger driver

Looking to buy '82 or older FF or CF. Driver is 6'1" - 215 lbs. Cockpit needs to be comfortable (somewhat) and safe.

Interested in Crossle, Zink, open to others. Maybe a tighter cockpit car that has been modified to open it up????

Lolas are even better if you have big feet, too.

CF Van Diemens worth a look.
    Caldwell D9B - Sold
    Crossle' 30/32/45 Mongrel - Sold
RF94 Monoshock - here goes nothin'

    Default Prs 82f

I’m finishing a complete restoration of a 1982 PRS 82F. This is essentially a new car. 99% of the nuts and bolts, and rod ends are new, as is all sheet metal, powder-coated frame, new floor (bonded and flush-riveted), all suspension newly nickel-plated, new CV joints and boots, zero-time engine with CP forged pistons, and Ivey aluminum head. New dash, gauges, switches, and all wiring. The car will come with a couple of spare suspension pieces, the suspension jigs, a new spare nose, the nose mold, the mold for the tail cone, a newly powder-coated set of Panasports, mounted with Good Hoosier Vintage tires (4 heat cycles), and a set of original rims, The car will be done mid next week.
The car will need new belts, and MK9 gears (one set included).
This car is Beautiful, and I can send pictures of the restoration.
I’m listing it next week for $15,000 firm for everything..
    Cheers!
    John

That was the last car PRS put out, right? With low profile rear bodywork?

This car has been raced by, and desired by MANY drivers/owners... There are A LOT of well-known names from the Formula Ford history in the log books, who developed, and ran this particular car!

1982 was a transition year for FF. Essentially all the major manufacturers struggled. My avatar is me in my ‘81 royale. It was a bullet. Won my first race in it at Bridgehampton. Case in point, Royale tanked in ‘82 in the US. This PRS was extensively developed and modified, making it quite competitive at the time. It will be a front running car on any vintage or CF tire. And the car is brand new for all intents and purposes, making it a trouble free weekend.

I've edited my previous post, the wording was not what I intended. I looked at the build pics that were posted before, the car looks amazing. If I were closer I'd be looking seriously at it for that price.

if i wasn't going to true vintage, i'd beat you to it. it will be a spectacular car for someone, especially someone just getting into the sport. I can't tell you how much money, and time, i wasted on poorly maintained cars that i bought early on. but I have an urge to finish out my 40+ years in openwheel in the cars that were state of the art when I started.

I saw the Dulon. Unfortunately, wrong coast. I need (at least) east of the Rockies (midwest, east coast, etc.). Don't mind driving for the 'right' car (California is the exception).

    Default CF

Look on Apex in FF for sale going back a way. There is a Crossle in Napa, Ca. For sale. Mr. Garza has it.

Btw, I’ve spent nearly $15k on my car just for new motor and cracked tranny case. That includes $5 in labor and some other parts.

I have a Race Ready '78 Zink C-10. Former owner put $6k into car with new calipers, pads, all hydraulic cylinders, tires, belts, radiators, ATL fuel cell. Two sets wheels and tires, 7 extra gear sets, just tuned, aligned, corner weighted and with a transponder. I bought it and learned I'm just too damned old to drive it. It comes with open trailer, spares, and best wishes from Utah. $12500 complete. Ebby.mike2@gmail.com

If so I have a Zink Z16. Don’t come much larger than that. Been through a ground up this year.
