    Default Documentation for maintaining an FE

    Hello all, I read through a thread where a member had 18 pages of documents including a pre-race checklist as well as maintenance documents regarding the FE. I just bought my FE and would like to familiarize myself with the car and any documentation would be most helpful. The individual who had the documents I read about had a computer crash and lost the electronic files. Thanks for any and all help!

    I compiled a lot of stuff when I had an FE.. I'm a bit short on time for the next week or so, but send me your email and I will try and get you some files.

    Alternatively, I passed all my stuff to Kazis31 whom I traded cars with. Reach out to him, he might be able to send you the same files sooner.

    I will have to email a couple files.. the Elite gearbox manual and the FSCCA assembly manual are both over the 986K file size limit for pdf's. Also have a couple word docs and a zip file that don't seem to be allowed on here.

    anybody else who needs them, PM me or send me an email through apex.

    There are 27 files in all I think, including a comprehensive notes pages that I made which includes web links to more information or sources.

    First off, I visited Steve's shop in scales mound Friday and had a blast learning some tricks on maintaining my FE. Steve is great and answered any question I had. Can't wait to see One Formulas new shop open!

    So, I noticed the pinion nut tool and it got me thinking... I see Taylor has a pinion nut tool but what other option s are there other than Taylor's for $300? Also, I've heard of people using a regular low profile Jack for he FE. The rear looks easy with the tow hook. The front not so much...?

    Most people lift the front with a jack under the front a-arm attachment bolt. In the rear with the tail of the transaxle. You'll typically nnet to raise/lower the rear first, otherwise the transaxle pivots closer to the ground and a regular jack won't fit in there.

    Someone recently sent a note asking for FE docs. Note these are not FE2, these are the original, but some may be helpful for both.
