    Default FRP at Mid Ohio

Hi, all. Its about a week out from load in for the All Formula Car weekend at Mid Ohio. Five run groups: F1000, F2000, F1600, RCFF, Challenge Cup FV. As mentioned on Apex, we have 24 entries and counting for RCFFS. FV has 26 so far, 17 for F1600. F2000 still looks light, but we expect to be in the teens at the start of the weekend and we have 9 F1000's.

If you've ever thought about running an FRP event, this is a great one: 3 hours of single run group track time, no bureaucratic hassles, SCCA club license accepted. Take a look on our websites (formularacepromotions.com) for schedules and other information, or contact the series.

As Bob has said, this is a great event. Low key, lots of track time and hassle free. Entries were great at June Sprints, let's try to carry some momentum into this event.

Ok, with load in tomorrow afternoon it looks like we have close to 100 cars showing up...20 F1600, 13 F2000, 9 F1000, 27 FV, 28 RCFFS and possibly a couple of F3 cars chasing runoffs qualification. This is going to be fun!

You can still come- call us and we'll work it out.

If you don't realize it, FRP weekends count towards runoffs qualification for FA, FB, FC, FF

I ran the Mid-Ohio event this past weekend as my first FRP event. I was impressed. It was a fantastic experience and still being new to the F2000 class it was absolutely awesome to see nothing but F2000 cars lined up at the start. Sadly I had a better then I had hoped for view of all the cars being so far back, but wow was it cool. It was worth the price of admission just for that.

I found the group comfortable to be around both on and off the track, and the racing was intense but clean. The tires held up great even in the heat.

It's hard to go back to mixed group racing after an experience like this - I highly recommend it.

Thank you for coming and thank you for the glowing report. We try.

Think what the view would be if we had 10 more cars! I know they're out there, I even know where a lot of them are hiding. Don't be shy or scared to come sample our party.
