Details, in no particular order:
Car is available anytime and could go on track with minimal effort. It is EXACTLY as it came off the trailer from the 2018 Runoffs where it finished 4th. Many teams there are spending $100k+/year and this car is competitive against that.
The car is a 2000 year wide-track that has been updated. Car was in USF2000 Road to Indy spec when I bought it at the beginning of 2017. I raced it in 2017 mostly in NWFC and in 2018 in SCCA Majors, the Runoffs, and one NWFC weekend. Car finished every race in 2018, was on some poles, and set some fastest laps. I'm just an old man running against kids (and some other old men!)
Plan was to price the car at $27k but at the Runoffs, someones flying endplate dinged the nose and it will require some minor repair and paint, hence the lower asking price. Other than that, it needs an oil change and the usual pre-race nut and bolt and it is ready to go racing. In fact that's my plan if it doesn't sell I have a couple of weekends I will race it this Spring.
Car is located in Hood River, Oregon and I live in Florida in the Winter so showings will require a bit of coordination. I have a crew member who can show it as well. Most of the spares are packed away in the trailer so those need to be extracted as well. If a sale is imminent, I will travel there to git-er-done!
Back to the car. Engine is a Quicksilver, rebuilt last at the beginning of the 2016 season. Runs great and is strong. Engine has chassis brace (see pics)
Aim dash with GPS and ECU data and wheelspeed.
Adjustable Front Roll bar
At this price it comes with 4 sets of wheels. Rains (3 years old) on one set. Lots off tires (4 or 5 sets of Avons). Most with only 1 or 2 sessions. That's the joy of selling immediately after the Runoffs! (NOT!) Car was running Radials when I bought it. Converted to bias setup in 2017. Much betta.
CV's rebuilt before runoffs. Many spare CV parts.
Complete gear selection, about 15 sets. Gears in car are for Sonoma.
Gearbox completely rebuilt by Geardaddies at end of 2017. New ring and pinion installed as well.
Hard wired transponder included.
New belts in 2017 thanks to CASC who expire belts on the tag month instead of year-end like everyone else. Wonder why I didn't go to Canada in 2018? New belts expire at the end of 2020.
New fuel cell in 2018
New wheel bearings in 2018
Rebuilt shift linkage in 2018. Tighter than any other formula car I've driven.
Wheel tethers on all four corners.
Complete radio communication system.
Have logbooks for SCCA and ICSCC. Homologation paperwork included.
Spares include New Front Wing, diffuser, like new, spare upright with new bearing, copy of all engine hoses, brake rotors, fuel pump, and lots of other good stuff. Mic stuff like TPS, coil, plugs, wires. No junk.
For two years I've spared no expense on this car.
