    Default F1600 Series Video

I was poking around looking for video as coaching tools for the upcoming RCFFS event and found this awesome Chris Horan video.
What a race! This is why, despite many more-modern or more trendy competing classes, FF/F1600 racing is the best!

    Hi Roland,
Like you I lamented the missing dip, going back to when it opened in 1970. The track threw a lot at you
But having run the ARRC the last couple of Novembers [ heading backdown next week for the 2018 Prelude to the 50th of FF in 2019] I begrudgingly admit, the track RACES better now with a lot less carnage at the bridge on any close race last lap.
Tires have gotten so good, to say nothing of race cars, passing zones had shrunk to desperate do-or-die hail mary attempts often ending in tears and bent metal.
10A is a stupendous opportunity for passing ad every lap I can recall the dip while sometimes executing a clean and safe pass.
Hoe to see you sometime sooner rather than later, we can chat about the 40th and the mutiple 50ths coming up.

I think the term castrated sums up the dip removal quite nicely.

On par with adding the bus stop to the Glen.

    Both are still wonderful tracks.

The old Turn 5 at the Glen was indeed a true test of do you really want to drive race cars fast.
Popping over the brow in a fast FB/Atlantic car would get anyones attention.
That said, the bus stop/inner loop is a great place to makeup a lot of time on people who don't attack it seriously ...…
No argument Greg, both remain oustanding race tracks…..see you down south next week……

I fully accept, that as an old man, both are probably better for me in their current spec.

I also may have a different outlook if arriving at 190mph, as opposed to the 120 (FV) or 140(FF) that I am accustomed to.
