I see them pop up on here from time to time, looks like I missed a few for sale.
Never hurts to ask, but if you have one in a drawer, I'm looking!
Thanks.

They keep coming up and if you aren't sitting here hitting refresh you don't get it apparently.
refresh refresh refresh!
email james AT drivesideways.com and I'll buy it, need it for my car this coming race season.
I have three. I think I can part with one if you are still looking. PM me if needed.
Pegasus got slammed on Facebook a few weeks back when they sold 10 brand new ones at $650 each. Insane.
Thanks I ended up getting one. But yes they can go for as much as 650.
I hate the subscription model too but at a certain point the investment makes no sense up front.
For what? Pegasus should be least to blame. They have every right to sell at whatever price the market will bear. AMB Mylaps created the market. Enough people placed enough value on the commodity to allow the price point.
Should we villainize everyone who asks a premium for a rare item? The price of anything will always be whatever a customer is willing to pay.
This is an expensive hobby. Relatively speaking. And yet we all pay wads of cash to get our kicks out of it. In a mostly nonsensical kind of way.
I've seen used hardwire 260's go for $725 on fleebay recently. $650 for a new one is a bargain!

Says a lot about the replacement product.
At $650 they are approaching the point where subscription is cost effective.
We all know eventually all units will need to be on a subscription to be recorded, it's just a matter of time.
Hope not or it makes my $650 investment a brick.
The tracks need to upgrade their gear for that I believe, so may depend on each track.
Totally a scam, but we all know that.
What is the barrier to someone developing an alternative to AMB that uses the same loop that's embedded in the track?
I see a couple:
1. The signal is encoded (and decoded by AMB/Mylaps equipment).
2. I suspect that there are contractual factors. If AMB/Mylaps licensing for the decoder and T&S software does not require exclusive use of AMB/Mylaps transponders, they need to hire a new lawyer.
