Yes Jeff, I've lost 25 pounds so I'd fit easily. Just no time. I haven't had my license for years. Just glad to be taking 4-6 cars to Indy.

Its easy, just do my regimen of 12-14 hour days 7 days a week for two months straight. Didn't change my diet or my Ultra intake. Or have a life. Your choice!

BTW 29 and counting. 4 more for sure.

SRF 3 has over 100 entrants. Does only the top ~70 or so get to race and the bottom qualifiers eat popcorn? lol. I'm actually not sure how they work that?

If there are more than the 72 car on track limit, the top 60 are gridded according to qualifying times. The remaining 12 on the basis of finish position in a consolation race on Thursday.

That's fascinating, but where will they build time into the schedule for that? Will that replace these groups' Thurs. qual session?

As the schedule isn't finalized, we'll just have to wait and see.

Last I checked the eligibility list, we were already in like Dave mentioned but I haven't followed it that closely to really know if there was other criteria to meet. You don't know how bad I would love to race Indy in a 37+ car field! We're just on a shoestring budget and can't swallow the financial pill to get there. The timing is bad, unfortunately.

Did I really miss out on paved parking. I never got the email stating registration was open and have been so tied up with work it skipped my mind.

    Daniel,

I don't think paddock registration is open yet. Yes, on the Motorsportreg registration page, it states in big, bold letters, highlighted in yellow:
Single-car paddock reservations will open on Tuesday, August 15 at 12 pm NOON CDT.

However, I can't find paddock registration on Motorsportreg. The last communication I received was an SCCA Apex Newsletter, emailed to me on August 8, which stated the following:

    2017 Runoffs Paddock Parking
The SCCA staff is hard at work mapping out paddock parking for this year's Runoffs at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Toward the end of this week, entrants should receive an email from MotorsportReg.com with more details.

    Nothing since then.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but parking has been open for about two weeks. There are a few grass spots left. Go to runoffsparking.motorsportreg.com

I reserved a grass spot just so I had something. Does anybody want to share a paved spot with me? I'll pay for the paddock spot and will share use of my golf cart, 30 foot stacker with AC and full alotment of tools, plus I will have my setup platform and scales.

    See everyone next week!
