This is a sweet car designed, built, and originally campaigned by Ron Sokol in Chicago.....one of the really nice people you meet in racing. I am the third owner. It is a predictable, easy to work on, great looking, and fun car. Three FVs might be too many so I'm putting the Vindicator out there if someone else would like an inexpensive and unique FV.
I don't recall the exact weight of the Vindicator but this is a SERIOUSLY light car. I'm around 180lbs and have run the car with ballast....lots of ballast. If you are on the larger side, the cockpit is gigantic compared to most FVs. You WILL fit in this car.
When I got the car I took it down to the bare frame and went over everything. The car was originally orange/blue but is now now all black including the frame, and I changed the body to replace the integral mirrors with conventional mirrors because I couldn't see out of them. I am a much better mechanic than I am driver (no comments) so the car is well cared-for and in good shape with no damage. The paint job is "Meh" as my son would say. Fire bottle good, fuel cell good, almost brand new QA1 shocks f/r, Lybarger transmission.
The trailer is....a trailer. I'm probably the fiftieth owner, I have the title for it, you can put a car on it, and it will tow easy and straight all day. It will lose all beauty contests.
Selling the car as a roller + spare wheels + some miscellaneous spares + trailer: $3,000 obo.
Thanks!
