The VDCA Season finale at Roebling is one of the best kept "secrets" in vintage racing. If everyone know how much fun we have at this event, we'd have 400 entries every year.
Too cold to race in December, you say? The average high temperature in the area for early December is mid to upper 60's.
Great race track: Fast, flowing with a lot of run-off, it rewards a good set-up and corner speed but also has a nice long straight for classic FF drafting.
Track time - lots of it, including a one hour enduro on Sunday at no extra cost. Not to mention the all-comers Happy Hour Bracket Challenge race on Friday.
Food and Drink - the important stuff! A Friday night beer party usually sets the tone for a weekend of good camaraderie and several entrants are known to host some pretty good Friday night paddock parties. But the main attraction is the Saturday night pig pickin' and oyster roast. The aroma of roast pork wafts through the paddock all day. The Sat. night dinner is worth the trip all by itself.
Last year we had a solid group of 12 FFs for the event. Let's do it again and add a few more!
Open to all Monoposto eligible Formula Fords (pre '72 "classic" Formula Ford and Club Ford through 1981). If you have any questions about whether your car is eligible, I am the Technical Director for the event. We often grant waivers for non-compliant cars to come and see what our group is all about (like CFs with aluminum head or canister shocks).
