I haven't posted our videos quite in sequence this year, but below is the link to Race 3 of Round 2 of our 2016 New South Wales Formula First State Championship.
This Round was held on the full length "Jack Brabham" circuit at Sydney Motorsport Park, which is only the third time we have raced on it (we usually race on the regular "Wayne Gardner Grand Prix" circuit) in four years, and could be the last time because the other categories don't like it. The Brabham Circuit comprises an extension to the Grand Prix circuit which are the tight curves and up and down section half way through the circuit. You can see where we depart and reenter the Grand Prix Circuit.
Our racing format is six New South Wales State Championship Rounds each year (along with nine other categories), Qualifying on the Saturday morning, one race on Saturday afternoon, one race on Sunday morning, and one race on Sunday afternoon.
Round 4 of our Championship takes place this weekend at Wakefield Park, two hours South West of Sydney (and it will be bloody cold!)
By the way, Jack Brabham was an Aussie who grew up in Sydney and was a three time F1 World Champion (1959, 1960, and 1965). Also, Wayne Gardner was a 500cc Motorcycle World Champion in the late 1980's, and because of his success, this entire facility was constructed, and subsequently the 500cc Motorcycle Grand Prixs were held on the regular Wayne Gardner Grand Prix circuit between 1991 and 1996.
I hope you enjoy it.
