I'm wondering where my first car is. I sold it to a guy who stored it for over a decade. Looks like it may have been sold in the last year or so.
Thanks.

Not a real common car to see around. Sooo......
We have an Anson SA-4 Super Vee that under went some refurbishment and started running with ICSCC in the Great Northwest last year. It's in an all white livery.
Has a Bertil's valve cover but I'm thinking he told me it really wasn't a Bertil's engine.
I don't know where the fellow purchased it. Do you have a chassis number? I can ask him when we start racing this year.
CREW for Jeff 89 Reynard or Flag & Comm.
I have a white SA4 that I purchased from Mike McHugh two years ago. The car you are referring to was on Race-cars.com a few years ago. Link is below.

Looks like you already went to race-cars.com. The picture you have is a picture that is in the ad.

No chassis #. We made a special brace which bolted to the valve cover and rear bulkhead together ( kinda like a Tattus) A dead giveaway for my old car.
Tim.
We must have been typing at the same time. Don't laugh but I paid big $$$ for that paint job in 1989!
Do you have any SV parts laying around?

You might want to contact Charlie at Entropy Racing in Sacramento PA. There is one in his shop undergoing rebuild.
I dont have his contact info with me, his contact info should be listed on www.emraracing.org

No spares here. just a bashed front wing I kept as a souvenir. Talked to Charlie, Not my old car. Most likely the one on the west coast.
I sold the car to a guy in California who stored it for several years. It was then sold to the gentleman in the photo. I believe the car has been sold again in the last couple years.
Thanks.
Don
I remember seeing this on www.race-cars.com They should be able to tell you where it is/went.
Ricardo was selling this car a few months ago on Race Cars.com for a bargin basement price...not sure if he sold it or not, but you can contact him thru his business at:

My old car is up for sale once more. To bad I have 3 cars already! Looks just how I left it over 20 years ago. If I could I would buy it in a second!
race-cars.com for those interested.
Not to hijack the thread but Doug Vermeer had tow Ansons. One was totaled in a wreck. Does anyone know the whereabouts of the other one?
Might be racing lore but I was his wife had it destroyed. I have though about checking with the family about it but seemed to be in bad taste. The family does a charitable golf outing each year in Doug's name
Here is a picture of Doug's car.

I might have sell some stuff! I went to drivers school in that car. Everyone thought I was nuts, They were right!
Thanks for the picture of Doug's car. So how many SA4's are there? in the states that is.
How about McHughs pro car. Is that the green one?
Pretty sure there's a yellow one in the southwest, maybe out of Arizona somewhere.
I was chief of tech at IRP the day of Doug's fatal accident. He had an amazing drive going.
The green car in Washington was one of Mike McHugh's cars and it was originally white. I have the other car and it was originally yellow and driven by Tommy Bryne. Mike bought both cars from Mark Pivac and eventually bought the Anson company from Gary Anderson. Mike still owns Anson. There was a white one with red and yellow trim in the Southwest and that is now the green. one. I have attached a picture of my car as raced by Tommy Byrne and Mike.
It is amazing how small the racing community is. Tony Nicholson who owns Robin Automotive at Sonoma raceway worked for Gary Anderson at Anson in England and assembled my car and a few others. He traveled to the States to assist in the running of the Anson's in the pro series Attached is a picture of a bare tub.
I am excited to say that after a 25 year vacation in California the Anson will be heading back to Ohio! Appears as if I was the last one to race the car. Nelson Ledges 1990.
Plan on a full ground up with a 1800cc engine. Lots of engine questions to come.

Congratulations on picking up the Anson. They are great cars to work on.

I started this thread 6 years ago wondering the whereabouts of my first race car, An Anson SA4 Super Vee. Three weeks ago It surfaced on eBay motors and Race-cars.com.
I just hope I fit in the thing now lol.
Thanks Tim. Good luck with the sale of your SA4. If mine ends up half as nice as yours I will be happy!
Thank you for the compliment. I am sure your car will turn out great. If there is anything I can help you with please let me know. When I bought the car from Mike it was in boxes and nothing was assembled except for the front suspension and some wiring. I know every piece on the car very well.
Good luck,
Tim Bland
