It's like they're all too busy to respond! C'mon guys, don't you have a social media person to handle this stuff! ????

Rumor I heard was Robinson was angry about some on course conduct, accidental by one driver, and decided to take his ball and go home rather than race 'with a bunch of kids'. Just a rumor, but heard from two sources.
I hope someone records and posts this because my computer seems to be having issues....

keep trying Garey; it took me ten minutes to make connection.
Rats; Marc Blanc wasn't ready to leave grid. Now bringing up the rear. Can he pull a "Loshak"?
Slow to load for me too
Same problem here, nothing on the computer, but I did get it up on my phone.
Also looks like JR2 was indeed a DNS.
Grenier and Mallinen touch wheels and both hit infield wall hard.
Someone inform the broadcast crew that the Vestals are not new.
Pace car, Hendrickson and Saurino wreck in T1, 0 laps green, pace car, Grenier and Mallinen wreck in T2. Mallinen tried an outside pass in 1 on restart, got side by side with Jeremy into 2 and they both ran out of room, touched and hard into the wall. Both drivers out and ok. No opinion in this, just a report for those without video.

"l'audace, l'audace, toujours l'audace!"
Looked like something broke on Kautz when he went to the brakes at the chicane.

Great race. Thanks to all the competitors for a great show!
Congratulations, Rick!
Scoring one for the Pacific Northwest, and Canada!
We are a little short on car counts up here at the SCCBC in FF, and so having Rick away chasing the Runoffs hasn't helped...
...but after a run like that, it's pretty hard to fault him for not coming out to club race this year.
And it helps my ego that the guy who regularly beats me at Mission can beat a Runoffs champ.
Great job to everyone! Hated to see the carnage.
Congratulations to all who finished and particularly the top 3! I was glad to see a safe but exciting finish to the race. I think all of us with DB1s owe Jason and E.J. a beer.
Frank
Great job Rick you had us on the edge of our seats nice finish.
I hope we are able to get you threw the door when you get back so we have decided have the party out doors.

Where are Vestal cars built and by whom? Is there a website?
For what it's worth....Hurley Racing Products (Mike Devins) did the original bodywork for the Vestal cars. Having met Bill K. and Dan Campbell, and worked with Mike on my MRC car, I can see how such a nice car was built as a result of the guys behind it.
Jim.
BTW...Great showing for the FF class. Congratulations Rick!! Dramatic stuff!
Big congrats to Rick Payne and Dan Cambell Dan told me they have been working towards this since last years runoffs (actually guy I figured I had to watch since Sundays test)
Even bigger congrats to Jason and EJ. EJ had to split the car as soon as he arrived and they worked their butts off from the beginning. good job and excellent race, Jason!
The vestal is built by Kephart. The 2 cars are different, I think bill is in version 4 and Mike Lewis is in version 3. There are differences, I just can't tell you what they are.
I left after qual on Thursday because I was not mentally prepared for the event. Way to much happening in personal and business life. I never made the comment about racing with kids. If this race had been anywhere ther then my backyard, I would have called it off 2 weeks before the start. Losing the brakes 4 different times during the last qual was my wake up call that things were not right with the car, being late to the grid and losing my starting spot put me in the situation on the track that I should not have been in and was my wake up call that I was not mentally ready.
John
Thank you for setting the record straight John. My personal apologies to you. Like I said, just a rumor. Sorry to hear about the car issues, you had a good chance to take the win. best-
To Rick and his Dad. Those two have put in lots of hours and thousands of miles all toward this event. Well done and enjoy the moment and memories.
Guess Hoosier is off the hook for supplying Rick with the new radials next year.
Congrats to Tom and Jason also and for racing hard and clean
Really close racing through the field. Congrats to the podium well deserved. Special congrats to Jason and EJ on top of their game all week in a DB1
Congratulations Rick. Much deserved and it puts you into a league joined by very few. I look forward to saying congratualtions in person next time you make your way to Mission raceway.

Just got off with some people down there and heard that the winning engine wasn't torn down. Nor was there anyone in impound able to pull the map off a Honda ECU. I know Jeremy's Honda was torn down last year. Any reason for such a light tech for a National Championship race? I know this might've happened in other classes but has the Ff winner ever escaped a tear down partial or otherwise?
So what was the highest finish for a 21st Century car? Seems like the old hardware did just fine..
