Looks good to me. I hope this will finally make it through the BoD and in time for the 2012 season.

Finally! Not everyone got what they wanted....but that is the nature of compromise. I think it's a good one. Now.....everyone who's interested should be getting a car ready!

Found it. Thanks
What is the horsepower of a 600cc engine with a 32 mm restrictor?
On an engine dyno the 2007 GSXR 600 we tested had about 110+ from 14,000 to 15,000 rpm. Pretty flat from 14K to 15K, then it signs off. This is with a 32mm flat plate restrictor as defined in the GCR.
Unrestricted it made 124+ at 14,000 to 14,500 rpm. Unrestricted it will easily rev to 16K.
On a chassis dyno it made 102 with the 32mm IIRs

Not too bad lb per hp. How does it compare to the 2 strokes with their weight?
Thanks
Lurking FV guy trying to learn. Does this mean that F600 will be going down the "conversion" road as well as new designs (ala FST)? What regions/divisions will have the F600 regional class?

Bob, the BOD will be voting on approval of F600 as a Nationally recognized regional class at the BoD meeting in March. We are hoping for approval.
Yes, there are already about 10 conversions running right now and about 15 more being built. If the class is approved there will be plenty of cars being built both conversions and new cars.

Jay, who lives in Dearborn (?), should be running several races and his customer nearby, Ken Mascia(?), should be as well. Most of the rest are in the SEDIV.
You can see video and listen to the the F1-like exhaust scream at our F600 rental site - www.formula600racing.com then click on media tab for the videos. Over the past several years people hear that distinctive sound and just go crazy.

They do sound darn good Jim!

I just received the latest Fastrack. What happened to the proposed 90 inch wheelbase?

The CRB and BOD not agreeing with the F600 committee's proposal and altering it. Frustrating if you ask me.

The F600 ruleset proposal will be up for approval by the BOD
at the National Convention in March for April 1st effective date.

Any input needs to go in right away.
