Hello All,
Just like the title said, anyone know for sure if it's legal for CM or where I can look it up ether in the rule book or somewhere on line.
Thanks
Ben

I believe the offical make of a given SEx/FBx car is "Swift Europe". That is, I would not hesitate to buy one of these cars as "Swift" is on the "CM Exclusion List".
On the subject of the "CM Exclusion List", here is an interesting SCCAForum thread on the subject: CM approved manufacturers?

Pru,
The list is more appropriately labeled "CM Inclusion List" as all the manufacturers on the list are specifically legal.

Better stated: "Eligibility List" for SCCA Solo Rules Modified Class C:
However you phase it, I still stand by the following statement:FF and S2000 are open only to "series-produced" cars. Only cars produced by the following manufacturers are eligible for FF in this class: ADF, Alexis, Caldwell, Citation, Crossle, Dulon, Eagle, Elden, Forsgrini, Gemini, Hawke, Konig-Heath, LeGrand, Lola, Lotus, March, Merlyn, Mondiale, PRS, Reynard, Royale, Swift, Tiga, Titan, Van Diemen, Winkleman, and Zink. Only cars produced by the following manufacturers are eligible for S2000 in this class: Bobsy, Chevron, Daedalus, KBHMariah, Lola, March-Apache, Reynard, Royale, Shannon, Shrike, Swift, and Tiga. The SEB may add to this list at any time, effective upon notification of the membership." (
As I stated previously, I am done requesting it's removal...I for one, cannot reason why CM needs such a listing. The first sentence of the SCCA National Solo Rules for “Modified Class C” is clear and to the point: “GCR legal SR, SRF, FF1600, S2000.” I believe that if a FF / S2 is GCR legal it is, by default, automatically eligible for CM.

I don't understand the "90 or older". AFAIK a "Swift" from either the US or Europe is eligible for CM if it is a legal FF. If you buy one the Solo Board is very likely to either confirm its legality under the name "Swift" or simply add it to the list since it was clearly a "series produced car" rather than something that meets the letter of the FF rules but clearly is a "special" autocross config . . . if there is such a thing. The problem with this concern in the rules (which I understand) is that nothing in the CM or FF rules prevents modification of a "series produced car" to become an "autocross special" . . . as long as the FF GCR rules are followed.
The background was to allow ex road race cars to be the source of cars for autocross, especially ones that were relatively cheap since they were no longer road race competitive for FF or Club Ford . . . basically the mid 80's cars most of us own. The Swift DB-1 being one notable exception for many years . . . but priced accordingly.

In Solo you are under no requirement to run a "standard" ecu with the Fit engine. If you want a winner right now just get a Fit powered car and buy a Motec or AEM unit and kick butt.

Maybe in Texas . . . But for the rest of the country CM follows the GCR rules. This means a GCR legal FF whether Kent or Fit engine including the GCR spec'd ECU and the current restrictor size.
The only significant CM exceptions to the GCR are fuel cell, fire system, and belt age.

How about allowing my Reynard FC to run in CM, lol? Because there is nooo way it would be competitive in BM with the Legrands.
