Have a Royale FSV in the shop and wanting to know what shocks to ask Truechoice for. Any starting pointers would be helpful -or should I just call them?
Thanks

IIRC, they came with single adjustable Armstrongs, if you are looking to make it period correct.
Try to locate Dick Scott in the Pittsburgh area. He once went by Red Line Racing.
He was the importer of Royales in the late to early 70's.
Thanks but no, we'd like the Konis.

I got the single adjustable aluminum bodied Konis - but the deal is they are a drag race shock and Truechoice does not include the valving with the price you see in the catalog. I gave them the application and spring rates and they built up a set and then tried to knick me a couple hundred more for the valving.
Konis don't show up on their website any more - no longer a dealer?
While you are at it get rid of those crappy springs and get some Eibachs or Hypercos
Check out the Motorsports catalog http://www.koni-na.com/pdf/KONI_Motorsports_2008.pdf
I think the 3012 (or 3011 if steel body is needed) has a good reputation plus "modern" performance at a somewhat lower cost than higher end Koni's or Penskes's, etc. Unfortunately they have to be removed for bump adjustment (I have a set). However, there are ton's of lengths and two different rebound adjuster orientation options.

Crappy springs will be gone soon.

What constitutes a "crappy" spring. If it gives you a constant rate through its usable load range, what else do you want? Thanks

"Crappy" springs are of an unknown pedigree and rate and have been sitting on the car for eons.
Although they do hold the chassis off of the dirt.
Easier to get new ones of a known quality than mess with these old ones, that's all.
