ill be SRF'n hope the FE crowd shows up. i think we need an alcohol sponsor for the event.
I'm definitely going to be there ! There's interest from other folks too. I'm comfident that we'll have over 15 cars for this event. The other races...I'm not too sure? I'm committed to the full season, except for Utah because that weekend falls on my first wedding anniversay. Although, I am trying to scheme something up !
So far, the guys I know of that are fully committed to the series are myself, Matt Schneider, and Brian Novak. It sounds like Scott Rettich is going to run a few, if not all the events. I hear Little Nicky will attend too when there's no conflict with the MX-5 Cup.
What's the interest from the rest of the FE world? Who's planning on running the full series? Partial series? One event?

I might do one event for the experience, but we do have a new bambino at home, so we'll have to see...
I am planning to be there as long as work doesn't rear its ugly head....
Best regards,
Eric

for those with families and want to make a weekend of it or a team or group of guys, you can rent lake houses on lake lanier, about 15 min from track.
I'm going to be there. Alcohol sponsor? I'm working on it. Word on the street is that the Virginia Tech flash may make a guest appearance. Now, I'm not sure about that given that he is so . . . "out of practice" but, stranger things have been known to happen.
Given enough interest, perhaps we can revive the karting challenge that happened last time at the ATL. As I recall, the Cole Morgan ringers beat the field in the challenge. Not before a lot of people tried to prohibit it though.
So far the goal is 30 cars. I haven't heard anything from the wild ones from Texas or the Snowbound Midwesterners (except for Cole). Granted, it's a wicked long haul for those from the West coast and the Pacific Northwest. Understood. However, I am thinking that a party would certainly entice a few more cars into stopping by. Anyone else going to step up?
If I dont get a ride in blank or blank this year, which is still in the works, I will be there. Only downside is I have to update the car; floating rotors..whaaa?? Quicker cars beating all my old track records. SOB!
If not, who wants to put me in their FE and test it at its limits at RA??? takers??
RMS will be bringing Matthew Mair.

Road Atlanta is on my calender. It will be tough making other races because new responsibilities with my primary sponsor (work). I would have to convince family and friends to drive my stuff to the track while I fly back and forth. I will have to see how things progress.
I have not heard from the rest of Texas or Ok.

You can always count on Scott McQueen to come up with one of the craziest schedules to, "Get 'er done." I'm still disappointed that Jack Corthell, Keith and the Limey Bastard have not checked in yet. I'm sure that the elder care facility has internet hours and a computer for everyone to use. For that matter, what about Wally???
Z
Is there a test day the Friday before?
I think the limey bastard and accomplice Keith sold their cars.
I'll be there and at the VIR round. Probably NJMP. Miller is out. Anyone know where the 5th round will be?
Andrew M. Cross, Jr.
I am guess that the final round will be either Mosport TA/WC, Road America TA/Nascar, or Lime Rock TA/Nascar.
It is now likely that there will be a test day for Road Atlanta.
Keith Field missed his FE so bad after he sold it, he bought it back!!
Limey Bastard ran Daytona and can't wait to get back in the car.
Corthell is now in Grand Am.
Keep your eyes open for Wally, he finished 3rd and 2nd in the Florida Winter Nationals at Sebring....

It's good to see the list of FE guys growing.
we are working on the test day details and will post information as soon as we re-verify that the day is still ours!
"Stand by and a stand by... there may be a maybe!
Just an idea here but if there arent any cars in the Group 4 (all others) category, I say we give everyone an extra practice session. Just thinking out loud but 1.5 hours a day compared to 2 may get some more folks interested; especially the ones who havent been there or havent been there in a while.. If there happens to be a handful of cars in that group, put them with the FE's or club SRF's and split start them. If theres a test day, then you could scratch my idea. Again, not quite for me, but just an idea for the drivers that are thinking about coming.
Thanks for the suggestion Mathew.
This is the most difficult aspect of event planning for ANY sanctioning body. Trying to anticipate who will be attending 4-6 months in advance. I'm told that we will have some Group 4 cars, but exactly how many is still up for debate.
However, we are actively working on defining both the test day AND looking closer at Group 4. What we may do us roll the Group 4 cars and the "Past Masters" group together. we are expecting a LOT of Spec Racers, so I don't think it would be smart to put them in with Group 3.
Again, we are working on that now, because I agree with you. We certainly don't want to lose any track time on the weekend!
Cool thanks Ken
We've worked out the details of the Friday, April 9 test day.
The test day fee will be $350 per car. Each session will be 25 minutes long, for a total of four sessions per group. While we aren't guaranteeing specific track session times, assuming we stay on schedule you will get about an 1hr 40min of track time.
VIP Driver's Race entrants are allowed to enter the Group 4 test sessions if they would like additional testing time for their race, but they will have to pay the test day entry fee.
The test day entry form can be found here: http://www.srf25.com/testday.shtml
You must be registered for the event to participate in the test day.
Let us know if you have any questions.
TrackStar from Houston will be there with at least 1 car. We are trying to get the rest of the pact to commit. More details to follow.

I am planning on being there. I live 20 minutes from the track, hate to see a great opportunity pass me by.
This is great to see drivers starting to commit for this race. It shows that Erik putting this together wont be a waste. I imagine the track record will fall as well. Anybody have a guess for a time?
hey there everybody! I am contemplating whether or not to do some of the races.
Don't know what car I would run but I have a little time to figure that one out.
It would be great to see you guys on track again! and not just watching you guys from the sidelines!
may the speed be with you..

Enter here (hint, hint, nudge, nudge): http://www.srf25.com/register.shtml
I would like to see more of the people saying they are coming actually sign up. This really helps when I'm talking to companies about contingency programs!
Hi Ken,
I saw the wink and felt the nudge...I'm in. Easy process. Even I got it done - I think.
All right, guys. There's seven of us registered now. Take 10 minutes and make Ken's job a little easier.
Best regards,
Eric

Thanks Eric!
And yes, you are all set. Thanks for entering!
Hey Ken, I'm entered too...kinda . Can you change the driver's name from my dad to me?? (?) You ought to see that guy play Mario Kart on Wii...he'll take every shortcut available . If you let him race at Road Atlanta, he may turn right at T5 and use the short course ! Anyway, can't wait for the event and the entire Pro Series !

Sorry about the oversight there Paul. I'm so used to the Entrant and Driver being the same person that I missed that when the entry was submitted.
You've been properly listed now (I hope)!
