Check this picture out. I actually cracked up out loud when I saw it. What's with the ginormous front wing and tiny rear wing. It looks like a skid loader.

Holy smokes.
There hasn't been a really good looking F1 car in a while (unless you just like Red cars!).
That looks worse that the IRL cars!

I agree, ugly as hell.
Are they going to slicks next year? That alone should improve the look of the cars. But I always thought that one of the things that make formula cars look cool was small front tires and larger rear tires. Today's F1 cars with basically the same sized tires front and rear look odd. I wonder if the slicks next year will be similar in size.
This is how an F1 car should look:
The front wing looks like it came off a SOLO modified car!
Looks a bit like a two stage snowblower!

I agree that the wing arrangement looks goofy. However, this is what an F1 car should look like:

I think they get slicks, wider track and wider wheels next year too.

Looks like slicks to me.

I agree with Nesbitt or the Gurney/Westlake Eagle...

That brabham makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up! what a car!
Don't want to hear any whining about no front end grip.....
But my are they are butt ugly......its true there hasn't been a nice looking F1 car for years.

What bothers me (apart from aesthetics) is the potential that front wing has for puncturing the car in front's rear tires - and the potential for damaging itself and bearing in mind that front wing changes will take longer since they can now (2009) be cockpit adjustable.
Peter Wright is on record as saying that F1 would now be more entertaining and more relevant if wings had never been introduced.
edit: Forgot to add that apparently the OTW (Overtaking Working Group) found that following a car in front reduced the following car's rear wing effectiveness more than the front. Hence the new sizes - to help encourage overtaking.
Ferrari have relased a pic of thier 2009 challenger
Cool Picture, where was it taken? It looks like it was a display in a park?

And I thought the cars were going to look better this upcoming year. I wonder if that is how wide the front wing will be? If so going to be a good deal of tire clipping. Hopefully there will actually be good racing and passing this year.

Make the wings smaller and the driver has to drive the car.
reduce aero grip.
Sort of like the Eagle and Lotus previously posted.
I would love it if the cars were not so sensitive and such, if not moving for a little while they burn up or what ever happens to them now. They are a car and a car shouldn't have to have warmed fluids and be able to stand still for a little bit.
When going through my dad's apartment we found video's of F1 from the 70's and 80s. Amazing there was so much passing. In the 90's there was still passing. This year, bah Spa was most likely the only race that I saw other then Brazil that was exciting.
Thank god they are at least back on slicks.

They never should have outlawed sucker fans. Then they would be able to drive in as dirty air as they want without problem... should help passing. And if there is any technology they need to have filter down to street cars, thats it. Two birds with one stone: clean streets and better cornering.
1970's F1, the second golden age, and this was the king!
Only when we get stuck watching electric cars humming around Spa, Monza, Silverstone etc etc will we not see wings.
