First Look @ RA EWC Entries
I've been busy cleaning the weeds out of my race car and, of course, more than a little concerned with Marc Blanc's condition following his accident last weekend. Therefore, I'm behind on my recruiting efforts for EWC Rounds #5 and #6 August 13-14 at Road America. Based a few telephone calls and e-mails this past week, here's a first (and incomplete) look at the RA EWC entry list:

In addition to these 31 "probable" entries, there are another 14 car/driver combinations that I am not sure about. Clearly, not everyone on the second list will enter but it looks like we'll have another big field of cars somewhere in the mid 30s. I am still taking the "over" on the 34 car over/under.

Sunday August 7 addendum: It looks like the "under" is going to be the winning bet. It says something about how far the EWC has grown when a high twenties car count is a disappointment. Late surprises and late scratches usually balance out so it looks like a 30 car +/- field at Road America.
Wednesday August 10 addendum: Perhaps we'll make 34 after all as there are still 14 cars/drivers out there unaccounted for.
