Default R60 Hoosiers-- Still Spec CF tire ??

I recently overheard a rumor that the CDiv has dropped/changed the spec tire (R60) for CF. This could effect availablity for the New England CF dirvers using Hoosiers.

Please don't raise the spec tire debate, I just what a knowledgeable answer.

    Thanks AJW

Since CenDiv does not have a unified series, Area 4 and Area 5 may do different things, but here's what's known at the moment:

Area 4 just published their "CenDiv East" regional rules, and Hoosier R60 is the only CFF tire allowed. Area 5 has no regional rules published.

Has anything been discussed in public about changing the spec tire? I don't see any mention of it on the CenDiv website.

    Default EWC CFF spec tire

A point of clarification here: the Hoosier R60 will be the EWC CFF spec tire again in 2005. As for 2006, proposals from other manufacturers are welcome and will be considered.

seems to imply that if what you say is true, then Hoosier might not make R60s or make fewer.... so you'll have a hard time finding 'em.............doubt it....call Hoosier well ahead of an event for a set and you'll have no problem getting them to throw a set on the truck
