There was a break in at Bob Lembcke's shop and his Westfield Lotus 11 and a Ford powered Sprite were stolen. If anyone hears of something like this offered for sale please let me know.

Pass the word of this to HSR / SVRA / VDCA / and what other Vintage Bodies you can think of.
Maybe Lotus forums and clubs, too.
Hate hearing this, the bastards. A best friend has a Westfield 11, and I wish you all the best.

Makes me ill at ease.
I live 45 miles from Bob. I will be hyper vigilant.

Thanks guys. His Ford Taurus stationwagon was taken also; just used to carry all the stuff they took. It was reported to have been used in a drive by shooting and then dumped at a Taco Bell. We suspect they were only looking for sellable stuff. They cut the cat convertor off the Taurus. Why they took the other two cars is kind of a mystery. Maybe just for a joy ride and then dump them. The didn't seem to know anything about British cars. They came back a 2nd night and tried to get the TIG welder and Bob's tow truck; failed on both.
I simply don’t get it.

I had posted about the stolen cars in a few Sprite FB pages, someone just saw the Sprite pop up in Marketplace. I've emailed Fred, hopefully the authorities can recover the car for Bob's family.
I don't think I should do anything else that might disrupt an official investigation.

Here are some pix of the Westfield 11.
Thanks to Gary the Ford powered Midget may have been located; don't know for sure yet.
I'm not familiar with Lotus pages so I'll ask some friends to post these pictures.
Bob had described the car to me in this way:
Lotus 11 clone (similar to Westfield, Eastlake body, both street and vintage...)

Posted up on Historic Lotus Register FB page and I have asked the admin on Westfield Sportcars FB if they will post up too. Someone on HLR is going to cross-post to 7Spot, which is specifically for Lotus replicas.
