Great liking car, and I know Pete is very meticulous about doing things correct.

Haven't seen this car, but I've seen a few that he's done. Everything Pete builds is exceptional.

I believe this is the car he came out to the PNW and ran with us. VERY nice car and Pete is a great guy!

I can't believe that this true vintage car has not sold. Winkelmann WDF2 was one of the best cars built in that era, easy to work on, large cockpit for us bigger drivers.

Not legal for Super Stock Light at Longmont.

Merry Christmas everyone. Somebody buy this car! All this car needs is a big red bow, put it under the tree, tell your spouse/significant other, Santa must have brought it!

Seriously though, "track ready"? This car is very nearly Race Ready. It will need new belts (good thru 2022), and the tires are old. I'm the lucky one that drove it for the post restoration "test". This car drives very well, and once the tires got a bit soft, it did anything I asked. I would have been very comfortable racing it that day.

Full disclosure, Pete is a very good friend of mine, but I've always found that he only knows of one way to do things. Don't believe I've ever heard him say those three words "that's close enough". It's either right, or it's not.

This is not the car he drove at the PNW as John Allen suspected, it is a twin to that one. John is correct, Pete is a great guy. Builds a great engine too. He built mine back in '16, and it still pulls with anyone, even with nearly 50 hours on it.

I purchased the Winkelmann, and I'm excited to start racing it this season. Sadly, that will now have to wait, as I had a major ski accident on Friday and I won't be able to drive a racecar for about six months. Meanwhile, though, I'll be preparing my current Club Ford for sale, a 1973 Merlyn mk24. That car has also been rebuilt and maintained by Pete, and is 100% race-ready, with only three race weekends on a new engine, new tires, new Panasport wheels, and lots of other things. As they say, watch this space. Rich
