Default Racing Honda F1600 W/ SVRA

    Hey Guys,

I was thinking about racing a modern formula ford with SVRA in June at Indianapolis. Does anybody have an idea about what cars you are grouped with and average amount of track time?

    Thanks,
    Dan

SVRA's rules specifically exclude Honda powered FF's from the rest of the FF's (Group 2) but do apparently allow them in Group 9, which is pretty much anything with wings and open wheels, all the way up to an F1 car.

To your other question, at Indy last year on Friday we had one practice and one qualifying session, another qualifying session and a race on Saturday and a single race on Sunday. Each session/race was 15-20 minutes of running. I think we had one session shortened with a black flag all due to an accident.

https://svra.com/race-groups/ Frightening speed differential between an F1 car and a honda powered FF at the end of a long straight.

If running at the speedway is really important to you, perhaps consider renting a Kent powered FF for the event? Much safer!
