Default 95-96 Vector Formula Ford for sale (complete + spares)

    SOLD
This vehicle was part of an estate sale from the collection of the late John Zuccarelli who passed away in 2021. May he RIP.

He was a well-known, well-regarded SCCA participant from the central Florida region. If you were familiar with him and his car collection, you may be familiar with this vehicle.

We believe it to be a late version chassis, 1995-1996, with the latest version updates associated with these great little Formula Fords. We have not been able to locate the chassis tag, nor do we have the logbook. However, there are three wonderful SCCA Race Winner Tags on the roll hoop from 2010, 2012, 2013.

We were informed by a knowledgeable Vector racer/owner that the fact that all four uprights are aluminum versus welded/forged steel, the rear rockers are aluminum, and the chassis roll hoop has the latest configuration allowing the fit of either a Zetec engine or the usual 4-cylinder Kent motor are all indicators of the latest version of this chassis.

The vehicle has three-way adjustable Ohlin shock absorbers with remote canisters.

Transmission is the LD-200 4 speed.

There are two sets of complete bodywork panels included, the long-tail and the short-tail. There is a third used front nose and one spare front battery box, plus three sets of OZ Racing Wheels with tires.

    Dashboard is a Digital Stack.

We have no information of who what or when on the Kent 4-cylinder engine. The block is red, and the head is blue. If that leads you to an engine person, great, otherwise, we do not know who built it.

We have done a leak down and got between 3 to 5% leakage. The escaping air was even between the exhaust, the intake manifold, and the blow-by port to the catch tank. So very minimal leakage and evenly spread out between the valves and rings. Oil pressure, 40–55 psi.

There are two Weber Carbs, both 32-36 DGV 5A. One is freshly rebuilt. New plugs, cap, rotor, Pertronix Ignition, fuel filter, engine oil filter, engine oil, trans. oil, misc. oil hoses, water hoses and fuel hoses.

The fuel cell has been flushed and checked and is in good condition.

Belts and fire bottle will need replacement. The new battery is one-eighth of an inch to thick. However, if you bend the lip of the battery tray it would fit. (we leave it up to you).

Need to replace water pump gasket, (included).

An extensive list of spare parts accompanies this ad along with several pictures. We neglected to write down the set of four gears that were in the gearbox when we checked it and reassembled it! Oops! Sorry.

    $16,500.00 obo
FYI.......The vehicle is located in Stuart, FL. !!!

    Always loved the Vectors.

If I was still looking for a car, I'd be all over this.

I've had folks argue that the fronts should be that way as they plant better under braking. Po-tay-toe, po-tah-toe...
John was a great guy and always took care of his stuff and even the folks around him at the track that didn't sell Goodyears.

    Default PBS Jack

The "Mayor" was a fabulous person and a joy to be associated with. Yes, RIP John.

Do you have a PBS Jack or stands from his inventory?
