    Default RF-95 Aluminum Tripod Housings

    Gents;

    I am considering going with aluminum tripod housings instead of lightened steel.

    Is this correct?

    • OD: 94mm;
    • Width: 40mm;
    • Bolt Circle: 78mm.

    I believe so, Rick.

    My car is an RF98-2 (the FC/2000 version in the year when it was different than the FF) and I know you're alright for OD and bolt circle.

    Whether you need the 40mm depth... ...I don't know for certain. On my car, I've got the 26mm wide housings both inside and out. (Had to check my emails to remember what was on my car!)

    I'm reasonably certain that if you DO need the wider housing, they only have to be at the end with the sprung plunger.

    The other end of the shaft should be able to use the 26mm wide version. But I would check with whoever you buy it from that you can return it if you move the driveshaft through the entire range of motion and the tripod rollers don't stay inside the 26mm housing.

    Just in case.
