1982 RF82 Van Dieman FF, Chassis Number #660, Car is located in the Denver, Colorado area.
This RF82 Van Dieman Formula Ford/Club Ford was purchased in September 2013 from the prior owner in Colorado Springs, CO. The car has been actively raced until October 2019 and was then prepared for the 2020 season. Several major upgrades and maintenance repairs have been performed to improve the reliability, performance, and appearance of the car since my purchase in late 2013. The car is currently race ready and could use a day of track testing to check over the most recent maintenance repairs and upgrades. The current SCCA Log Book was issued in August 2019 and a prior log book issued in July 2009 covering events thru August 2019. No log books prior to 2010 were supplied with the car when purchased in 2013.
Numerous spares and tools to maintain the car are available and those included are listed.
Engine and Transmission
Engine rebuilt from spare sleeved 711M block by Total Precision Engines (TPE). Complete Blueprint and Assembly, Dyno Test and Tune completed August 2018. Build sheet and dyno testing report included. Build included a SCCA/SCAT crank, rods, pistons, bearings, timing chain, camshaft, and lifters. New Titan 5 Port Oil Pump and remote filter. All new oil lines installed in 2018. Aluminum head (Andresson) refurbished in 2018 by TPE with new intake and exhaust valves, springs, valve guides and seals. Engine has a total of 7 SCCA race days, 2 RMVR race days, plus 1 day testing.

Hewland MK8 Transmission and Titan Racing Clutch. Will include the installed gears (4) and an additional 16 sets of gears.
Chassis, Suspension, and Body
Chassis is in good condition with no issues racing and setting up the car. The chassis is straight and drives very well. The chassis has been modified to add a roll bar forward brace as required by SCCA. There is pre-existing frame/chassis damage from prior to purchasing the car in 2013 that does not affect performance or set-up. The left front top frame tube in front of the driver and behind the front suspension was repaired. A left side rear tube behind the driver and below the main chassis frame has been slightly bent. Both are from and unknow date or cause/origin or extent. Shocks absorbers are Penske 8760 3-way adjustable shocks with remote nitrogen pressured reservoirs in all four corners. The body was replaced in 2016 with a new main body made in the UK and gel coated in yellow. Two new matching yellow gel coated noses along with the internal air flow duct pieces were also acquired. A new windscreen was also included. No repairs have been made to these body pieces as they have only a couple of typical stress cracks from racing.
Data Systems and Battery
AIM MXL2 Data Logger, Dash, and GPS (2017). AIM Smarty Cam (older purchased used). Sensors for oil pressure, oil temperature, water temperature, engine RPM, and steering angle. New Odyssey On-Board Battery in August 2017. Starter battery is a DieHard Advanced Gold, 680 CCA.
